"Dancing On The Rocks"
"Dancing On The Rocks"
The New England coastline is characterized by the warm, pink-toned granite rocks that drop into the sea, and by the dwindling hurricanes that make their way north in the form of overcast weather, temperamental wave patterns, and light rain. The wind blows the smell of saltwater and seaweed inland by over a mile, characterizing daily life for those lucky enough to live near the water. This painting perfectly encapsulates the view during this type of weather, partially obscured by salty drops of water on your eyelashes and the wind whipping your damp hair around your face. I adore days like this: when you’re bundled in something warm (an old sweatshirt; a rumpled beach towel in the back of your car) and it feels like you have the sea to yourself. Pure magic.
16×20” original oil painting on canvas. Custom wood frame with hanging hardware installed is included with your purchase.
