"Where It Leads"

$1,200.00

One of the most relaxing ways to spend a morning, or afternoon, or sunset on the coast is by finding a walking trail that grants you periodic (or constant) views of the sea. These trails are often lined with overgrown grape vines and goldenrod and wild blackberries, the paths speckled with stones small and large. If you aren’t looking closely, you might just miss the tight, winding paths that veer off the main trail and lead you down to the water. If you find one, it will probably lead to the remnants of a fire pit, tucked behind a boulder to shelter from the ocean breeze. Or you might find huge sloping rock structures that make perfect perches for fishermen, who come in the evenings looking for dinner and a quiet moment by the water. Bring your dog, your kid, your lover; these seaside trails are full of magic.

This painting was completed from memories of many autumn walks, when the wildflowers still bloomed but some of the trees and shrubs had started losing their leaves.

16×20” original oil painting on canvas. Custom wood frame with hanging hardware installed is included with your purchase.
